Ingredients for a 24-26 cm mold:

  • 80 g flour 00
  • 70 g spelt flour
  • ½ tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 100 g of fine sugar
  • 100 g soft butter
  • 2 whole yogurt
  • 5 Golden Delicious apples
  • 1 lemon
  • 6-7 toffee candy

Peel the apples, remove the seeds and make them into small pieces, sprinkle with the lemon juice and stir. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Whip the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is nice puffy, add the soft butter and yogurt always working with the blender.

Now add the powders, stirring gently with a wooden spoon or spatula. Pour the mixture into the buttered and floured mold, arrange the apples and candy into small pieces. Also add some pieces of butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 180 ° for 50-60 minutes approximately. Remove from the oven and let cool in the mold then put the cake on a platter.

If you prefer you can  sprinkle with powdered sugar too.
If you do not like spelt flour you can use 00 flour.
